    Reminiscing the past. I had a wonderful time with a really good friend of mine over the phone not long ago. It's been long since school days and so many things have happened that it is all but a whirlwind of events. Huh? =)

    We were just talking about things in general and sharing all the stories that we had. One of the things we were talking about was whether he would mind if his girlfriend would one day be more successful than him. One thing he said to me was this, "It doesn't matter about the money you have, or the type of car that you drive, neither does it matter the type of job that you hold or the kind of certificates that you acheive, because often, these are the things that put a stumbling block in all kinds of relationships". Friend, I share the same sentiments.

    Often wonder why is it that materialistic things have such a firm hold in our minds. In school, students do so much and try their might to be the top of the tops. Some even, taking the selfish route to success in the process. And when they do not get what they desire, the whole world seems unfair. At work, some people do all sorts of dirty trcks and try all sorts of ways to cover their own backsides so as to climb the corporate ladder and acheive the highest. In life, people seek the best to themselves - cool car, big house etc. Unsatisfied. The list will never end.

    True, in another perspective, we seek the highest to the best of our abilities because of expectations that we have to meet. And yes, money runs the world. To feed ourselves, we need money. To support our children, we need money. In everything that we do, we need money. But when are we ever satisfied when we have enough money and arrogance and pride takes precedence?

    I leave you with my thoughts...

     -Yours truly ;
